Yawning cools the brain

The latest hypothesis about yawning is presented by researchers at New York University that says yawning cools the brain. According to Science Daily, a professor of psychology and his colleagues at this university announced in their experiments, volunteers were often was yawning , when their brain got probably warmer. To these volunteers were shown some images of people in laughing, no change in the state face or in yawning, and researchers counted the number of yawning volunteers. The subjects were divided into three groups: Some just breathe through the nose that looks set to cool the brain; the second group had a cooling package on the forehead and have cooler brain; and on the forehead in the third group was put heating package that their brain was naturally warmer. According to the researchers, in the first two groups whose their brains had been cool, virtually incessant yawning were cut. That means, by warming the brain, the frequency of yawning will increase and likely this reaction of humans affects to reduce the temperature of brain.
